I learned this year that I am an introvert and my husband is an extrovert. I learned this by making a lot of mistakes. Swinging wildly between hermitude and endless nights out with friends. Matt was doing wonderful at work and making such a difference in the community and I was looking for my sweet spot, too.
Lucky for us, we found it in each other. Those differences in personality and life approaches have brought balance to our marriage. So different from when we first married and I was hell bent on "fixing" him.

'Tis my favorite marriage post thus far. First, your smile in all four pictures seems like natural happy- not like "smile for the camera" happy. Genuine.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, I love that you can look back and see how you found out who you are and what makes you tick...something I wish I did more often so I could better understand why I am the way I am.
Is it weird that I feel sad that there are only a few posts left? I wish you guys has 30 years already so I could feel happy that I had 21 left to read. :( It's like a good TV show whose season is almost up and there's only 2-3 episodes left. I'm such a dork.
Megan, your feedback is so precious to me! I treasure all the sweet insight you share. Maybe when I am up to the current year I will be brave enough to share current struggles and triumphs? Hope so, thanks for reading...and responding!
DeleteWell I'm glad you like the first comment because I wholeheartedly agree with every darn thing she said! My fave!!! Such a beautiful sentiment, finding your sweet spot in each other! As someone who only knows you thru your words and pictures, these posts are the reason all of these years later I am your avid friend/fan!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great cyber relationship we have! Better than some real life friends :) Thanks for sticking with me. Imagine if we could get in the same space geographically?!
DeleteAubrey, Are all your marriage posts in a CATEGORY? I need to check that and reread them in unison. I love that I learn more about you each time, and I love that I learn more about Megan through her comments to you. Ok, I just love. Alright. Nuff said.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary! Yes, if you click on "my sweetie" under the post it will take you through all the posts like this one :) I also learn so much from Megan's comments. She has such a way with encouragement! I love you both.
DeleteHey there! I simply wish to offer you a huge thumbs up for your excellent info you
ReplyDeletehave right here on this post. I am returning to your site for more soon.
