Oh motherhood, what a ride. She finds you hopeful, hormonal, and with a squishy mid-section.
She lives amongst messes, bedhead, and tantrums.
Motherhood will make you cry, make you laugh, and make you dance.
It apparently calls for a lot of cakes. And funny faces.
Sometimes you just need a drink.
Mostly, I think motherhood grows your heart a million times bigger than you thought it could stretch.

♥♥♥ So sweet and all so true! You are one amazing and inspiring mom! You do SO much for your sweet family....and yes, there always seems so be so much cake. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, friend! That means a lot from you, whom I've dubbed Supermom :)
DeleteKAPOW! You hit it smack dab with that last sentence!!! And those sexy black shoes in the drinking photo? I want them. Also, your hair is ROCKIN' in the last picture- hair model material there.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day to a fantastic YOU!
Vera Wang for Kohl's if you can believe it :) Thanks for the hair-love to boot, you know about my hair issues ;) Happy Mama's Day!
DeleteI absolutely adored the first picture ... the grainy, out of focus one in black and white. It instantly took me back to my grandmother's days, or the days of my mom with myself and my sisters little and gathering for a token shot on a special holiday. Timeless, priceless, and beautiful in every way. And the two of Parker with his hair long?! Oh my, tell that boy to keep his hair short! He rocks short hair! You are so timeless and pretty in every shot. I loved the funny that motherhood leaves you with a squishy mid-section. Everyone but you.
ReplyDeleteThe first photo is something to be discussed...most importantly, it was taken in our back yard, a good omen for sure! And the expressions of each of yur children's faces is memorable: Parker is just awesome(as always), Kaleb isn't bored at all, Aden looks sedated, what did you give him?, and Collin must have found some bird poooo in your hair! LOVE that you can let everybody NOT have the perfect smile and just let em be how they each feel, I know how hard that can be :)
ReplyDeleteBeing a mom, just a few short days, has given me the tiniest glimpse of how your heart must feel, all stretched out!
