The new house post at last. I have a busted computer and more boxes still packed than unpacked but here goes. It is a split level home built in 1980, just like Matt and I. (ha!) We are loving living in Boise and sharing some our favorite places with the boys. (mostly food spots, hello Delsa's!) The house is a little more than 1800 sqft. in a great layout for our
The house was remodeled by the seller so we have new siding, new paint, new flooring, etc. All of his upgrades were in very neutral choices. Kind of great to move into a blank slate and make it something more personal. Wonderful timing too, because as much as I love a fixer-upper, we have had an overwhelming summer. (The heat! And Matt is working a new job. And kids! Did you know they sometimes get bored and whiny in the summer?)

Thank you for sharing! What part of town are you in? We are just down the road from Delsa's... it's a favorite of ours too!
ReplyDeleteYep! We must be neighbors :) Maybe I will actually get to see you and those babies this year.
DeleteI keep picturing myself bringing you guys dinner...seeing the house...catching up. It's so happening before October. The house looks lovely!!
ReplyDeleteYes! We will potluck or something easy. I want to see you and your belly :)
DeleteI LOVE your drapes (homemade I assume) and that blue super soft looking chair. Also, the low hanging chandelier by your snuggly picture. You could make any house a home.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Babe! Those curtains are from World Market but I will still take that as a compliment. And can you believe when they sold my Grandma Beryl's house no one wanted that blue chair? I snatched it right up.
DeleteHi Aubrey, I'm a bit behind but it's never too late to catch up and congratulate you on the new house! It looks great and you always have a way with words and decorating so kudos to you. Megan took me to Shakespeare for my 60th and we saw Caleb (and your folks) there and got to talk with him at the end of the night. Wow, such a seriously nice and polite young man you are raising Aubrey. We saw him struggling to carry a woman's belongings and chairs up the hill and he said he got a tip for that one. He also said he despises home school (he really emphasized the word) and hopes to go to a charter school soon as well. He made us laugh. I loved his short spiffy hair cut too. Congrats on Parker growing up to be such a great young man also. You are always such a proud momma as you should be, but still you speak it so well for your boys to see and hear. I love that. Keep the love going. Give a hello to Matt too. You two were meant for each other.
