Holiday Stress

I am so bugged out this time of year. I cannot seem to shake the stress of making it all come together in a string of "Hallmark moments." It never happens that way, which is always okay, so why am I addicted to the chaos of Christmas? I actually have all my Christmas cards (yes, I still do those) assembled, addressed, & adorned with appropriate postage! It is not even Thanksgiving! Look at my sweet boys, all they can think of is "when will the 1st snow come ?", "can I eat the marshmellows and just skip the sweet potatoes ?", or "hey Mom!, I found the hacksaw for cutting down the tree this year!" So I guess this post was a point of release for some of this unwanted tension in my life right now. Peace on Earth...or at least in the hearts of my little men.

Matt & Jayson & some serious yardwork.

Raking leaves, well...posing for mom so she doesn't make you rake leaves!

Collin, indoors, basking in the autumn sunlight.

He knows he looks good.

The Champs!

The Wolf Pack won 1st place in the
2008 Nampa PAL Pee Wee Football Championship!
An amazing night and an amazing way to end
Parker's very 1st year of football!
All the grandparent's were there to cheer
on the best little defender on the team- Go PJ!
Matt & I (along with a couple dozen other
parents decked out in purple from head to toe)
were pumped with adreanaline and lost our voices.
Yes, we are that into it! Parker was so excited to win
& sad to have it end, he has already been asking about next year.
Congrats Wolf Pack!

Treats, No Tricks

So I guess Collin & I were the only Archuleta's that wanted to show their faces this Halloween. Matt was a wolfman, I was a wizard, Parker was the Grim Reaper, Kaleb was a Skeleton, Aden was a Power Ranger half the night & then he was a skeleton/Grim Reaper combo, & Collin was a duck. A lot of costume changes & last minute drama but a ton of candy to cope with the Halloween stress!

Goodbye to Summer '08

Holy Smokes!

I swear I lost 5 pounds at Parker's playoff game on Sat.! They won in double overtime and will play for 1st next week. I told myself it is just a game and I didn't want to be "that mom," but all bets are off. I am just so proud. Go Wolf Pack!

Slipping Away

So this was Collin in October of 2007.

....and this is Collin now, October of 2008. Anybody feel my pain? It really does go too quick.

As you can tell, I planned on this 24 mo. frog costume fitting him for Halloween. (Collin is 19 mo. now) Unless I want to purchase some green tights from the little girl's department...it ain't happenin'! Maybe that is why he is such an angry little frog?!

Battling Narcissism

I have a hate/hate realtionship with blogs BUT I feel that it may be easier than my preferred methods of staying connected. So here goes, don't judge me.
