Total Eclipse of the Heart

Yes, my darling hubby accompanied myself, my sis, & my cousin Melinda to the latest Twilight Film. We had a great time laughing & being totally into something so pre-teen & silly. BTW, Lindsay & I are team Edward, Melinda is with Jacob, & Matt was just looking for the nearest exit.

Goin' to the Chapel

My cousin Adam got hitched the beginning of the month. Of course, because I am in summer mode, I am just now posting these pics. Wow, we have some seriously interesting ideas about how to stay entertained at family functions. I could not post the ones from the Photo Booth without blushing.

Adam's sister, Melinda, flew up from AZ for the wedding. We had a fun being dorks with her & consuming more than our share of wedding cake.








Kaleb caught the garter & stuck it on his head. Yea, that led to some educational discussions with Dad.

Summer Hello & Some-Are Goodbye

Familiar faces. Aden & Collin at Settlers Park, enjoying the first sunburn of the year.

We actually met up with friends we had not seen in 6 months or so. First, Jeremy & Alycia with their 2 beautiful little women; Norah & Ivy. Ivy is the classic 2nd child, sweet & content, she let me take about 400 pictures of her. Second, Chad & Jennie brought their adorable Raylee to play at the park. Raylee also hammed it up for the camera, gotta love it!



The 3 girls almost matched our four boys, maybe the wee one Jennie is growing will make us even? So nice to catch up with friends, even if it is only a couple times a year.




Matt's friend from high school, Jason Lang, is moving to Brazil to teach. The Cardillos, our dear friends & mentors, hosted a BBQ to send Jason off. Great food & exciting conversations about where God is taking Jason on this journey. Best wishes, Jason!

I came across these beauties from 1990, yesterday. They still had the hand written note from my dad attached. He died when I was 14, so his handwriting is one of my favorite ways to remember him.

I love how free Linds & I were at this age. For the record, she is totally rocking that itty bitty red bikini. He was always a Dad that let us be weird & giggly & all things girl. I miss that, I miss Him. Lindsay has been dreaming about a sister road trip for years. I think this San Diego Beach will be part of the trip.

And dear sister, I will find you another awesome red bikini.
